Aurora "Rory" Tanner. Drifter.
Born with psychometry, although it didn't manifest until she was six in a freak accident that splintered her family. Raised by her grandmother after that, until she left at 18. Hasn't had a place to call home since then, although she'll stay in random towns and cities for a few years, often working as a private eye or whatever random, odd jobs she can pick up. She can't touch anything without seeing the last five minutes of the most recent events that affected the object and will pick up the emotions impressed on objects, especially intense emotions. She always wears gloves and never touches people.

People born with extrasensory perception are pretty common in her world. It's generally low-level stuff; there haven't been "overpowered" individuals in generations. She's from the future - roughly 400 years post-modern day. Between now and then, humans managed to colonize the moon and Mars, a few asteroids and some of the outer moons. Rory was born on Earth, moved to the moon with her grandmother, and has since divided her time between the two places. Recently, there have been revolts between Luna and Earth, and Earth and Mars, so she's smack dab in the middle of a war brewing.
